Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She currently competes in the UFC Flyweight division. She's older than fellow UFC fighter and Former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner at the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007, she also won a bronze medal in 2008, and a gold medal gold in the year 2011. Then she was named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia started her professional journey back in 2003. She has taken home numerous awards, such as the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships as well as the WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko started her professional MMA profession in the year 2002 after an impressive win against Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the fight by TKO in round 2 and the subsequent 2 matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a short break from MMA and focused on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa in a unanimously-decided match after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized superior strikes and striking skills to TKO Nievera by knees to her body during the final clinch. After this win, Antonina was given an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC in her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi in a split decision following her first bout. Antonina bounced right back after losing and defeated Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. The fight was awarded Antonina the Bonus Fight of the Night. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record during her subsequent three matches which included a win over Ariane Lipski while losing to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
